Win a paid internship with a Future IM/Pact partner
The Future IM/Pact annual investment competition is a platform for gender-based teams of 2-4 university students to get hands-on experience solving and presenting investment challenges to leading investors. Not only do students get practical exposure to the types of complex problems analysts and portfolio managers solve daily, they also have the opportunity to win a paid internship with one of our incredible partner organisations.
Proudly supported by UNIT, this is your opportunity to gain invaluable exposure to the investment management industry and its leaders who are actively looking for bright university students to join their teams. We receive hundreds of applications, and our partners are always impressed with the calibre of our participants, with several partners extending internships to finalists following our 2023 competition.

2024 finalists and winning team
The 2024 Investment Competition was our biggest yet, with more 440 people registered and 60 teams submitting cases. Following a round of virtual heats, five teams were chosen to attend our competition final in Sydney. Teams presented their case studies to a panel of industry judges, for the chance to win one of the following prizes:
- 1 x 6-week paid internship with Mercer (Sydney)
- 1 x 3-month paid internship with Schroders (Sydney)
- 1 x 3-month paid internship with TCorp (Sydney)
- 1 x 4-6 week paid internship with Colonial First State (Sydney)
- 1 x 6-week paid summer internship with QIC (Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne)
- 1 x 12-16 week paid internship with HESTA (Melbourne)
- 1 x 3-week paid internship at GCQ Funds Management (Sydney)
- Fast-tracked to shortlist for paid internships with Platinum Asset Management
Our judging panel was blown away by the analysis and insight presented by the final teams, awarding AAA Capital the top prize. Congratulations to AAA Capital team members Jeremy Huang, Alysha Airey, Christina Pletneva and Alec Lu.
